Trust & Safety
How WishPool stays a game of skill, what happens to your money, and what to do when something looks wrong.
1. WishPool is skill, not chance
This is the most important thing on this page. A WishPool is not a raffle, a lottery or a draw. Nobody's name is pulled out of a hat.
Everyone who enters a pool answers the same timed knowledge quiz. Winners are decided by how many answers you got right, and then by how quickly you finished. The sharpest and fastest wins. If you know the subject and you are quick, you have a real advantage, and that is the point.
No outcome on Vebpac is decided at random.
2. The rules are published before you pay
Every pool shows you, before you commit a single Naira:
- The exact prize, and how many winners there will be
- The entry fee
- When entries close and when the quiz runs
- How winners are decided, including the tie-break
Those published rules govern that pool. We do not change the rules of a pool once entries have opened.
3. Results you can check yourself
Scoring is automated. The same rule is applied to every entrant by the same code, at the same moment, with no human deciding who deserves to win.
When a pool closes we publish the final leaderboard. You can see where you placed, and you can see your own answers and your completion time. If our arithmetic is wrong, it is visible, and you can challenge it.
We would rather be checkable than trusted on our word.
4. Keeping it fair
A skill competition only works if everyone plays the same game. We actively police that.
- One account per person. Duplicate accounts are closed and their entries voided
- Each quiz is single-attempt and time-limited, so nobody gets a second run at it
- We check for automated entry, shared accounts and other manipulation
- Questions are not disclosed in advance to anyone, including staff who have no need to see them
If we find cheating, we void the entry, disqualify the entrant and withhold the prize. If we do that to you and you believe we are wrong, say so and a person will review it and explain the outcome.
5. What happens to your money
Your entry fee goes towards funding the prize for that pool. It is not an investment and it does not earn a return.
If you do not win, your entry fee is not refunded. That is how the prize gets paid for, and we would rather say it plainly here than bury it. If a pool is cancelled before the quiz begins, or cannot go ahead, entry fees for that pool are refunded to your wallet.
Your wallet holds two balances, kept separate on purpose. Money you add sits in a funded balance and is spent on the platform. Money owed to you sits in a withdrawable balance and can be paid out to your bank.
Your wallet is not a bank account, earns no interest, and we are not a bank.
6. Protecting your account and payouts
Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, so nobody here can read yours. Use a long password you do not reuse anywhere else.
Before you can withdraw, your email must be verified and you must save a bank account in your own name. That account then locks. This is deliberate: it means someone who gets into your account still cannot quietly redirect your money to their own bank.
Withdrawal requests are reviewed by a person before they are paid, within 24 to 48 hours on working days.
If you think someone else is in your account, change your password immediately, which signs you out everywhere, and contact us so we can review recent activity.
7. Prizes
Physical prizes are shipped to the delivery address on your account, so keep it current. Digital prizes and wallet credit are applied directly to your account.
We may ask a winner to confirm their identity before releasing a prize. This protects genuine winners from someone else claiming their prize.
You are responsible for any tax due on what you win.
8. What we will never tell you
We will not tell you that Vebpac is a way to make a living, that any amount of money is guaranteed, or that entering more pools improves your odds in a way skill does not.
Referral rewards are a benefit of a paid membership, not an investment scheme and not a promise of income. Anyone claiming otherwise, including any member, is not speaking for us. Please report it.
Only spend what you are comfortable spending on entertainment.
9. Reporting a problem
Tell us if you see something wrong: a pool that looks misleading, a member claiming guaranteed earnings, an account you believe is a duplicate, or anything that feels off.
Contact us through the help centre, or write to [SUPPORT EMAIL — TO CONFIRM]. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours and we can suspend accounts while we investigate.
We would much rather hear about a problem early than read about it later.
10. Disputes
If you disagree with a result, a disqualification, a charge or a withheld prize, raise it with us first. Most disputes come down to something we can check in the leaderboard, your answers or your transaction history, and we will show you what we find.
If we got it wrong, we will put it right. If we did not, we will explain why, with the evidence.
Your legal rights, and the dispute provisions in our Terms of Use, are unaffected by anything on this page.
